Reflecting on the First Half of 2026
As we reach the middle of 2026, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the progress made this year.
The first six months of 2026 have been shaped by innovation, collaboration, and a continued focus on supporting surgeons with practical, high-quality instrumentation. From launching new instruments and investing in advanced manufacturing capability to connecting with surgeons, customers, students, and industry partners around the world, it has been a busy and rewarding start to the year.
Expanding Our Product Portfolio
Supporting surgeons with practical, high-quality instrumentation remains at the heart of what we do.
Throughout the first half of 2026, we introduced several new additions to our instrument range, including:
- Adjustable Distal Femoral Alignment Guide
- Modular Offset Cup Impactor X/XR
- Modular Broach Handle
- Modular Anvil
- Acetabular Reamers
Each instrument has been created to help simplify workflows while supporting precision and control.
As our portfolio continues to evolve, our focus remains the same: creating instrumentation that helps surgeons work efficiently, confidently, and consistently.
Investing in Manufacturing Excellence
To support growing global demand, we have continued investing in advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
One of the key investments this year was the implementation of Vericut Force, helping to optimise CNC machining performance and improve manufacturing efficiency.
The results have included:
- 16% reduction in CNC cycle times
- More than 1,800 hours of additional annual manufacturing capacity
These improvements help increase consistency, support scalable production, and strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality instruments to customers around the world.
Connecting with the Orthopaedic Community
The first half of 2026 saw the Enztec team attend and support several events across New Zealand and internationally. These events provided opportunities to connect with customers, surgeons, students, and industry partners while gathering valuable feedback and strengthening relationships across the orthopaedic community.
AAOS 2026
AAOS 2026 marked our biggest presence at the event yet, with a larger booth and our expanding range of orthopaedic instruments on display.
The event provided an opportunity to connect with customers, partners, and industry leaders from around the world, while gathering feedback that helps shape future product development and better support surgical teams.
LIONZ 2026
We were proud to support Ladies in Orthopaedics New Zealand (LIONZ) 2026 as an event sponsor. LIONZ is committed to supporting female surgeons, promoting diversity within orthopaedics, and providing opportunities for networking, mentoring, and practical learning.
The event brought together female medical students interested in orthopaedic surgery, giving them the opportunity to get hands-on with instruments, learn more about the specialty, and connect with surgeons and industry representatives. We were pleased to support an initiative that aligns closely with our values and helps inspire the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
AHF 2026
Enztec recently sponsored and attended the Anterior Hip Foundation (AHF) conference in Nashville, an event focused on the direct anterior approach in total hip arthroplasty.
The conference brought together surgeons and industry partners, creating a valuable opportunity for collaboration, and learning within this specialised field. It provided an opportunity to showcase our hip instrumentation designed for Direct Anterior Total Hip Arthroplasty while gathering valuable feedback from those experienced in this surgical approach.
The conference provided valuable opportunities to learn from experienced surgeons, gather feedback, and continue supporting innovation in anterior hip procedures.
Our People
Behind every product, process improvement, and customer interaction is a team of passionate people.
During the first half of 2026, our team has grown by 15%, with new talent joining across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and support functions. This growth reflects our continued investment in the people, skills, and expertise needed to support our customers and drive future innovation.
We are proud of what our people have achieved this year and grateful for the dedication, expertise, and collaboration they bring every day.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the second half of 2026, our focus remains on supporting customers through innovative orthopaedic instrumentation, strong partnerships, and continuous improvement.
We are excited about the opportunities ahead and the chance to continue working alongside the people shaping the future of orthopaedics.
Thank you for being part of our journey so far this year. We look forward to what the next six months will bring.
