The Modular OCI X/XR is designed without an integrated handle and features an IMT-style connection that allows either a powered impaction device or the Enztec Modular Anvil to attach interchangeably. This enables seamless switching between manual and powered impaction using the same device. Conversely, the OCI X/XR can only be used for conventional impaction.

The Modular OCI X/XR is compatible with the deSoutter OrthoDrive, or any standard IMT connection for powered impaction.

The Modular OCI X is compatible with standard threaded cups, whereas the Modular OCI XR is designed for cups with an anti-rotation feature in the pole. Both devices function very similarly, allowing the user to seamlessly visualise cup position at any time during impaction. The Modular OCI XR has additional anti-rotation functionality, for those cups that allow it.

The Modular OCI X/XR is compatible with a wide range of acetabular cups such as Smith + Nephew R3 and REDAPT, DePuy Pinnacle and Emphasys, Stryker Trident, Signature Logical G, Corin Trinity and more. Additionally, we can adapt it to meet any cup thread. 

The Modular OCI X/XR offers a 55mm (2.2inch) offset, providing ample clearance of bone and soft tissue.  

The Trinket is the threaded component of the Modular Offset Cup Impactor that connects between the handle and your acetabular cup. Every acetabular cup has a different thread length and profile, so we have a library of trinkets to fit different cups.  

In order to ensure compatibility with your cup we need to receive models and drawings of your cup. In some instances, we may ask for a sample cup to facilitate design and testing.

The Modular OCI X/XR has a removable trinket and hex driver for cleaning. The body incorporates flushing holes to facilitate removal of contaminants. 

The Modular OCI X/XR weighs 722g / (1.6lbs). This weight has been minimised as much as possible while still ensuring stability and accuracy during impaction. 

Yes, we offer supine and lateral alignment arrays that securely connect to the handle with a simple screw down mechanism.
