Iain McMillan

Iain is a highly motivated medical device executive, with over 20 years working across a wide range of business functions. He has deep experience in R&D and business development and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He has been the CEO of Enztec since 2019.

Known for his mechanical mind and ability to solve even the most complex problem, Iain not only thrives on the creative process but also enjoys building relationships with clients. Throughout his career at Enztec, Iain has been integral in delivering hundreds of new orthopaedic solutions to customers around the world.

In his current role as CEO, Iain is focused on sustainable growth of the business, to ensure Enztec's long term success. Beyond setting the strategic plan, Iain actively supports the senior management team to achieve goals and future proof the business.

Iain is as passionate about Enztec as he is about the community. He works closely with the University of Canterbury and enjoys mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students and actively supervising research projects. When he’s not at Enztec, Iain enjoys time with his family and friends, and a nice craft beer or two.
